Zemen Bank has signed a groundbreaking technical assistance agreement with European Investment Bank (EIB) under the Greening Financial Systems Program.
The signing ceremony took place on September 9, 2025 during the Africa Climate Summit, where Ato Tewahido Tafesse, Chief Strategy Officer signed on behalf of Zemen Bank. Through this partnership, Zemen Bank will enhance its capacity to assess climate-related risks, align financing with sustainability goals, and expand green lending.
During the event, Ato Tewahido stated that the partnership represents significant step towards achieving sustainability goals while diversifying Zemen Bank’s portfolio with green products. In collaboration with EIB Global, as he assured, the Bank remains dedicated to supporting Ethiopia’s sustainable development and a greener future.
