Zemen Bank has recorded gross profit of ETB 10.2 billion during the 2025/26 fiscal year, while its total assets have grown to ETB 116 billion.
Speaking at the Bank’s Annual Management Meeting held from July 24 to 25, 2026, W/ro Enye Bemir, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Zemen Bank, stated that the Bank had achieved outstanding performance during the concluded fiscal year. She expressed her appreciation to the Bank’s management team and employees for their dedication and contribution to this remarkable achievement.

During the meeting, Ato Asrat Tadesse, Chief Executive Officer Delegate and Chief Retail Banking Officer of Zemen Bank, highlighted the Bank’s strong financial performance during the past fiscal year. He announced that the Bank’s paid-up capital exceeded ETB 14 billion, total income reached ETB 17.8 billion and total capital increased to ETB 26 billion. He further noted that, based on key industry performance indicators, the Bank’s achievements rank among the strongest in the banking sector.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Bank’s employees, customers, shareholders, and business partners whose continued trust, support and collaboration enabled the Bank to conclude another successful fiscal year.

In addition, compared to the previous fiscal year, customer deposits increased by 32 percent to reach ETB 85.4 billion, while foreign currency inflow amounted to USD 698 million. These achievements demonstrate the Bank’s resilience and its ability to sustain strong growth despite external economic challenges. The Bank’s outstanding loan portfolio also reached ETB 52.59 billion. (The financial figures presented above are unaudited.)

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Zemen Bank conducted financial literacy awareness programs for schools in Addis Ababa. These training sessions were delivered by the Bank’s senior professionals with the objective of enhancing financial literacy among the public.

Furthermore, as part of its efforts to protect the public from financial fraud, the Bank has continued to disseminate educational messages in nationwide awareness campaigns through multilingual SMS messages, digital media platforms, mass media broadcasts and educational notices displayed on its ATMs.
Currently, Zemen Bank serves customers across Ethiopia through a network of 142 branches, providing banking services to all segments of society.
